“Hi, I am Cloud. Unlike my little brother Cupid, who uses arrows on people to make them fall in love, I float thoughts to people that are going to be friends.”

In Make a Friend you answer questions together with other people, either people you get randomly matched with or friends you invite.

Every turn you or your friend select a question, which you both answer.

After answering, you see each other’s answers and you can rate and comment on each other’s answers.

The idea is that instead of going through questions like “How old are you?” and “Where are you from?”, it is more engaging to answer interesting questions one does not answer everyday. By giving users some control over which question is going to be next and by enabling them to rate each other’s answers, the whole “getting to know each other” phase gets extra depth.

Friendship Statuses

As you progress and answer more and more questions, your friendship will go from Meeting Up to Acquainted to Almost Friends to Friends to Good Friends.

When you and the other get acquainted with each other you can select a question by topic, when you are almost friends, you can enter freeform questions instead of selecting an existing question, and if you become friends, you can view each other’s profile and send each other chat messages.

When you become good friends, you could add each other on Facebook, Skype with each other or just keep answering questions.

You can read more about the different Friendship Statuses in the guide.
